Gracious me I have never been more thankful to be a relative lurker in a fandom than I am now. Such a fuss over nothing. Good god people are essentially debating whether or not the fandom has a peeing contest within it - this is the stuff that dogs and, well let's face it, men do, not grown up women. The world is gathering in Copenhagen to see if we can actually save this planet before it's too late and yet the only thing that seems to concern a bunch of folk is Mary and fandom and who pees the loudest within it.

Quick question, is this Spanish convention legit? It looks a bit unprofessional at the moment and given how everyone got stung by the Jumpcon fiasco I'm hesistant to commit.

Just arrived - helloooooooo free wifi. So tired now though so will try and take a nap. Yeah I know it's against the jetlag rules but seriously, the eyes are so heavy right now.

I really have to stop forgetting about this thing but as someone who's never kept a diary it's hard to remember to regularly check in. So yeah, this is me apologising for not commenting and generally being lousy when it comes to livejournal. Like my P.E report card said, I must try harder.

So how is everyone? Enjoying the 4.5 dvd?
I have to confess I'm more excited by the release of the soundtrack than the dvd. Does that make me a bad fan?!
It's scary how quickly Dragon*Con seems to be approaching. So much to organise and so little time.

Long time and no update although my life such as it is hardly warrants much in the way of regularly spamming you all. Work and sleep makes me a dull girl. Dragon*con however doesn't not. Sooooo excited. I have everything booked and am in the process of looking up guide books for doing touristy stuff post con.

As I understand everyone on my flist is going *g* but I'm not sure. It would epic but I have a hard time justifying another trip when I have San Francisco booked this year. Hm.

I do hope Mary is at least acknowledged this time come award season.

I'm good to go for tomorrow and the SF Ball. Suitcase packed for the weekend (nice to have a day spare just in case of road stuckage) although I'm pondering the addition of a shovel. This is one of those rare occasions where I can be thankful that Steve has a 4x4, because I normally hate the thing, except today in this frakking weather.

Okay, so I guess an update wouldn't go a miss although my life at the moment is a combination of work and spending money earned on presents for relatives and the rent bill.
The one thing I will say for Christmas this year is that the sales have been rather helpful. I managed to get a lot during the three day Debenhams sale and as vulture-esque as it feels, the Woolworths sale has also been great for stuff.

Also managed to watch Greys - erm seriously, wtf is that show. Has it always been this dire or is this a new development. You can see that they're a talented cast but god almighty the writing is appalling. Dear Mary, get off that show and on to something like Damages, Big Love or Mad Men pronto.

OMG OMG OMG I AM GOING TO THE SF BALL NEXT FEBRUARY! LIKE HOLY SHIT. I'M BOOKED.

And Grey's this week. Gah, this is so awesome.

Home, tired, currently have some sort of bug but all that is negated by the news that Mary will be on Greys Anatomy and as a doctor. Like holy shit! How awesome is that. I hope to hell she isn't dying or something too. And, Greys has such a good rep for getting it's guests emmy nominated. Woohoo.

Back from vacation. Spent three glorious weeks touring Europe and needed another week to recover from it all. I'll try and upload pictures later if I can.

I just ordered my battlestar season 4.0 dvd from amazon. I know it won't have the extras but I can always give the set away or sell it later and then buy the us version. I just need that bsg fix.
Speaking of bsg, it still sucks hard that Mary got no nomination at the emmys. Wtf was that anyway? You would hope they at least throw a nom her way come next year, it being the last and all. Stupid Emmys.

Will try and catch up on comments over the next week or so although I'm off again for my travels in a month. My cousin Kathleen is getting married in Austrailia and I'm for the wedding.

Is anyone going to one of the Jumpcons this summer?
I really want to go but then I read that some had been cancelled and a friend pointed me in the direction of a journal which had expressed some valid doubts about the whole Jumpcon thing. I don't want to hand over money to what might be a scam. Does anyone know anything?

And WHEEEEEE Mary making the final ten. That is so cool and exciting and I just hope she makes the final five now, but Roslin isn't a cylon hahaha.

Weird ass post to start blogging with but I was knocked down by a car today. Nothing broken other than my pride. The guy was backing out of a parking space and I don't know what actually happened, I guess he didn't see me but he backed far enough back that the bumper hit me and knocked me down.
It's such a weird experience.

I'm not entirely sure what I am doing, LiveJournal can be quite complicated at times, but I am getting there slowly.
I don't think I will be writing here much, I'm not someone who keeps a diary. The journal is basically so that I can join the communities that I am interested in and comment.
